  • If you’re up for trying something new, this matcha sunday from London will certinally impress. Perfect for a sweet tooth craving.

The parlour presents a taste of london at its finest with a creamy, creative matcha Sunday.

📍The parlour at Fornum and Masons, London is right in the centre of it all. Perfect for a fancy day out, the menu is filled with classic british sandwhiches, tea and scones yet is no victim to being basic and boring. This probably won’t be your favorite if you’re not a fan of the sweeter things in life but it’s unique taste is the perfect energy reviver that you need to take on London.

  • The creation of the perfect matcha is a skill that you have to hone. Though once you’ve nailed it, you wont ever look back. I personally love the sweeter taste of almonds mixed with a more bitter matcha flavour as it is healthier than just adding a bunch of syrup to the bottom of your glass. This is currently my go to for a busy/ productive day.

My pro tips for the perfect matcha:

  1. the ingredients you use are an important element to your drink so when it comes to matcha, Perfect Ted’s your guy.

  2. With your ice cubes, I would reccomend freezing the flavour of your milk as opposed to water that will simply dillute your matcha therefore ruining it’s quality.

  3. Invest in a GOOD frother wand. highlighting good simply because there are many shitty ones out there. it turns the matcha silky and fluffy creating an appealing texture aswell as keeping a nice aesthetic with the ratios of milk and ice.

  4. speaking of ratios, you want your milk to not overpower the cup creating a light green bland matcha, you want your colour to stay vibrant even when mixed in to its other counterparts. filling your glass just under halfway should do the trick.

  • a beautiful, thick salty-sweet taste that hits the sweet tooth without over-doing it.

caramel!!

After making your silky matcha as demonstrated above, take your caramel sauce and smother the glass creating a pattern of your desire and enjoy! (Tastes really nice with coconut milk)
